A PRAYER OF SUSANNA WESLEY

You, O Lord, have called us to watch and pray.
Therefore, whatever may be the sin against which we pray,
make us careful to watch against it,
and so have reason to expect that our prayers will be answered.
In order to perform this duty aright,
grant us grace to preserve a sober, equal temper,
and sincerity to pray for your assistance. Amen.

Mother's Day Humor:

Humorous (but o-so-true) O
ne-Liners:

"A Mother's love will go with her sons whether he goes to the governor's chair or the electric chair."

She, who rocks the cradle, rules the world. --Anonymous

God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.

There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it.

Sometimes the poorest woman leaves her children the richest inheritance

A mom forgives us all our faults, not to mention one or two we don’t even have.

A Freudian slip is when you say one thing but mean your mother.
