Scripture Text (NRSV)
93:1 The LORD is king, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed, he is girded
with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved;
93:2 your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.
93:3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the
floods lift up their roaring.
93:4 More majestic than the thunders of mighty waters, more majestic than the waves of
the sea, majestic on high is the LORD!
93:5 Your decrees are very sure; holiness befits your house, O LORD, forevermore.
Comments:
"He has established the world. It shall never be
moved."
This passage was used by the church to lock up Galileo
and force him to say the he was wrong,
that the Earth does not move, although he is said to
have said, under his breath,
"Nevertheless, it does move."
The current President of the United States is a climate
change denier. If he could have, he
would have locked up Galileo. Instead of locking up
Galileo, he is contributing to the imprisonment
of future generations in a hot planet. If he knew
Jesus, he would know the truth, but he doesn't.
